🦦 MEET THE EDISON OTTERS SWIM TEAM!
Welcome to the Edison Otters — a community-based summer swim team dedicated to fun, fitness, and friendly competition! We're proud members of the NJSDC (New Jersey Swimming and Diving Conference), competing against local teams all season long. Our goal: help swimmers of all levels improve their skills, build confidence, and experience the joy of true team spirit. ---

We blend team spirit, consistent effort, and positive energy to create an environment where every swimmer feels encouraged, challenged, and celebrated — no matter their level. Being an Otter means more than fast times. It means growth, grit, and great memories.
📋 PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Edison Otters Summer Swim Team is a competitive program designed to help swimmers sharpen their skills, build endurance, and gain real race experience — all in a fun, supportive environment.
📅 Season Dates: June 1 – July 31
Location: Oakcrest Pool, 970 Inman Ave
🏊 Days: Monday – Friday --- 🕐 PRACTICE SCHEDULE
☀️ Phase 1 June 1 – June 24 Evening practices,
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Exact time based on group placement)
🌅 Phase 2 June 24 – July 31 Morning practices,
7:30 AM – 9:30 AM (Exact time based on group placement)
All practices are 1 hour per day. ---
👥 TRAINING GROUPS
🔵 Blue Group — 11 & Under Focused on technique, water confidence, and building a strong foundation.
⚫ Black Group — 12 & Over Advanced training with an emphasis on race strategy and peak performance.
⭐ Exceptional 11-and-under swimmers with prior competitive experience may be invited to train with the Black Group. ---
🏁 SWIM MEETS Meets are one of the best parts of the season!

→ Approximately 4–6 meets throughout the season
→ Full schedule shared once finalized ---
💰 PROGRAM COST
Total Season Cost: $320
→ Team Fee: $30 — due at registration
→ June: $150 — due at registration
→ July: $180 — due July 1st ---
🙋 VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT
All families are required to fulfill a $200 Volunteer Work Bond, completed by either: → Attending two in-person volunteer sessions (meets or team events)
→ Contributing 24 approved donations (food, supplies, or team needs) Sign-up details will be shared closer to the season.
