Tryouts & MEY Winter Season
Hello Edison Otters Families and New Swim Families,
We are excited to announce that tryouts for the 2026–2027 MEY Winter Swim Team are now open!
Tryouts will run through mid-August, and families can expect placement decisions to be sent out by August 24.
Please Note:
- These tryouts are for new members only.
- Returning MEY Winter Team members from last season do not need to try out.
- This year we will be more selective during the tryout process due to the large number of returning swimmers. Our goal is to create the best possible training environment and experience for everyone on the team.
Current Tryout Dates
All of the tryouts listed below will be held at the Oakcrest Community Pool from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM.

We will also be adding additional tryout dates at the Metuchen YMCA and potentially one at the Edison YMCA for families who may find those locations more convenient. We'll share those dates as soon as they are finalized.
